Pocket Rockets Team
Pocket Rockets Coaching Career
We firmly believe in the concept of good physical literacy development in children and we are aware that coaches are the backbone for any successful sports program. Hence we select appropriately qualified coaches, yet training is provided to enhance the coaching skills and is provided on an ongoing basis.
Each coach will attend a training course that will cover the concept of neurofundamental skills, child safeguarding and first aid, as well as understanding the concept of Pocket Rockets from both the theory and practical content.
Each coach will be provided with tools to increase their coaching experience and enhance their knowledge in sports and what it takes to build an athlete from grass roots. Each coach will be provided with tools towards increasing their qualification and also coaching levels.
Are you interested in joining our team? We strive to look for coaches with various backgrounds.
We also like to look for coaches who have a background in gymnastics, cycling and swimming coaching.

Coach with Sports Specific Lead:
Job content
You lead a group of maximum 15 children and have the main say, whilst following the concept of the Pocket Rockets program. You will also have a main lead in a specific section – swimming, cycling or gymnastics, if that is your coaching strength, and will work with different age groups and abilities within the program. You will still be involved in the additional concept of Pocket Rockets alongside your main sport lead, working with the rest of the coaching team.
Head Coach
Job content
Do you know who is the leader in the team at Pocket Rockets? Yes, it’s you! The head coach, who leads the program, oversees other coaches, and ensure a smooth running programme to transfer happy smiles to the children. The coaches will assist in the delivery of the different scheduled session, but the main responsibility for a smooth running program is yours. You may be required to provide feedback to parents/guardians as needed at the end of sessions and answer any queries as required.
Please tell us a little bit more about you!
Helpers & LSEs
Helpers are a crucial part of the children’s well being, and we do require these to ensure that coaching sessions can be run, whilst children can be assisted as needed.
During summer time, we would also require the input of LSEs, both on a full time and part time basis.
